vitamins & uses

What are vitamins?


Vitamins are essential substances and required in small quantities for the normal functioning of our metabolism.  Vitamins help in cell growth.  Vitamins work better when vitamins are accompanied by minerals.  Hence, vitamins should be combined with minerals.  The vitamins that are naturally occurred are better than synthetic, since they are absorbed and less toxic.  


Vitamins are fat soluble and water soluble vitamins.   

Beta carotene:

Beta carotene is converted into vitamin A

uses:

* helps teeth, bones, hair and skin


* infections are reduced

* free radical damage is reduced

* essential for vision improvement


sources: fish, green vegetables, carrots
